Kathryn Seaman
joined Southland Business Group in 1992. During her tenure, she has
performed hundreds of valuations of closely held business interests in a
wide variety of industries for a number of different purposes including
gift and estate tax filings, estate planning, corporate planning,
Employee Stock Ownership Plans, shareholder disputes, mergers and
acquisitions, and recapitalizations. Ms. Seaman has valued controlling
and non-controlling interests in operating companies; limited partner
and membership interests in holding companies; and undivided interests
in real estate. She has presented and supported her valuation
conclusions to the management, directors, stockholders and trustees of
client companies as well as their professional advisors.
Kathryn Seaman is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and a member of the American Society of Appraisers’ International Board of Examiners. Ms. Seaman holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Wooster (1980) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida (1997).

Ronald M. Seaman is the founder of
Southland Business Group. He is a Fellow in the American Society of
Appraisers (FASA). His current term as President of the American Society of Appraisers ends in July 2009. The Internal Revenue Service has employed Mr. Seaman for valuations and he has qualified as an expert witness in state and federal courts. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Hamilton College. Mr. Seaman has over 25 years of appraisal experience valuing a large variety of interests in numerous companies in many industries.
